Though each year showcases different items, some things always generally featured at the Grandma’s Attic sale include jewelry, decorations, furniture, books, records, toys, games and electronics, Giancaterino said, as well as glassware, dishware and much more.

Your standard cookie-cutter landlady game with all the staples you've come to expect like shower peeping, sleep groping and the classic "walking in on MC's morning wood" scene. This low-key but frequently hilarious comedy begins with Simon Amstell awkwardly telling his family that he wants to quit as the acerbic host of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. His family, assembled at his grandmother's house with the pop panel show on in the background, are shocked. Guests also “travel from all over” to attend the sale and refrain from missing out on the good deals and items. Because life is always more peaceful when you’re at Grandma’s Haus. However it's at the point where I have scenes memorized far in advance of my actual progress. Yea seems only a patch is here, you need to go to the website listed above to get the full game. Be sure to get all 3 parts as well as it seems you need to play them in order.

According to Giancaterino, for a number of years, Brownhelm Historical Association has also been hosting a fall Grandma’s Attic sale featuring new rounds of treasures and any special items saved from the spring. In tune with the spring season, guests also had the option to purchase donated plants as well, such as perennials or house plants that guests often times have dug out of their own yard and thinned out themselves. “Everything in here is brought in new each time we have a sale because we don’t carry anything over unless it’s really something special,” Giancaterino said. As one of two main fundraising events for the organization, the spring and fall Grandma’s Attic sale features items donated by both members and non-members, according to vice president Jim Giancaterino, and new items are rotated for each sale.

In our men’s program, one of our former participants even said he, “felt something there”. I downloaded the game a little while ago and damn. All the girls have their charm and I loved Shizuka's and Asami's adorableness. I'm not into GILF but I love Nana and Jamila. I like Liz and Kathy but after their first sex scene they somewhat became addicted to sex. Not a bad thing but mostly they want to have sex instead of having a romance.

They learn the true meaning of love, faith, and family through the strict rules she imposes and the devotion she displays as the extended family has its ups and downs.A teenager and her stepbrothers are forced to move in with Grandma. They learn the true meaning of love, faith, and family through the strict rules she imposes and the devotion she displays as the extended family has its ups and downs. I played through Grandma's House part 3 v40. I had the load the game issue every time I went to play the game.

The programme sweetly captures the regression so many adults feel when stepping back into childhood homes – as well as the incessant bickering, most of which occurs over Amstell's dislike of Clive, his mum's new boyfriend. Is there a way to download the old versions so I can start from the beginning? Somehow my game got corrupted and I had to delete it. That's a question Amstell never really answers. Fans of his standup will recognise the character more easily than those who have binged on old Buzzcocks episodes on Dave.

Grandma’s Haus is a fully furnished, communal living space where housemates rent a private bedroom – while building community around shared spaces like the living room, kitchen, laundry room, and reader’s nook. I wish I can have Nana's or Jamila's relationship. Even without sex I can totally feel that they loved the MC and I really want to experience that but I know it's just a wishful thinking. For Jamila it is a possibility we are  getting real close to her sex scenes with the last few updates. MC comes home from college and has lots of sex.

Gentle and tied up with neuroses, he is a man in love with the idea of self-improvement and fulfilment, with little notion of what they actually mean or how to get them. His family smothers him in love – and doesn't understand a thing he says. When his grandad thinks he may have cancer, Amstell advises him to beat the illness by thinking positively. Nobody tells him he's wrong, but nobody listens either. He ends up like a plaything for the family.

The show arrived on BBC2 in 2010, when Amstell was doing what he's best known for – "taking the piss out of pop stars", as his screen mother Tanya puts it. Amstell's venture into acting and writing was a brave move, especially when the show in question was a semi-autobiographical sitcom. Unfolding in a chintzy Essex living room, the first episode tackles his inexperience right away. "People congratulate me for being mean, it's not very Buddhist," says Amstell who, away from the scripted gags, seems shy and more than a little pretentious. "I just want to do something meaningful. Maybe I'll write something or act a bit." The incredulous response – "Act?" – from his mother, brilliantly played by Rebecca Front, is utterly damning. And her misgivings were echoed by critics at the time.

There are whole story lines for the pregnancy content. If I remember correctly you get to choose whether or not your college girlfriend is pregnant when she visits you? (Been awhile since I have played the start of the game to be honest.)  Then she is pregnant for all her scenes after. Not too long ago she gave birth, so the MC has a daughter now. This photo was taken in one our transitional living homes, and thanks to our amazing donors, we can continue to provide spaces that feel like home.

Brownhelm Historical Association hosts spring Grandma’s Attic sale

The same thing with other characters who shows more lust than love. For someone who will never experience it I just want to experience love even if it's from a drawn character. Co-written by Dan Swimer, Grandma's House echoes The Royle Family in places, with its sense of family and sentimentality, as well as the simple fact that most scenes are played out from the comfort of a sofa in front of the TV (watching an old episode of Buzzcocks, naturally). The show ran for one further series but last year Amstell confirmed there were no plans for a third. "We felt we'd written all the pain out of us," he said. In the days leading up to the sale, Giancaterino said the historical association will highlight some notable items on Facebook to be featured in the sale, leading to customers arriving prior to the sale’s start time.

The annual Salone del Mobile furniture fair has always been big — it’s the event of the year for the international design world, drawing hundreds of thousands of makers, curators, editors and buyers to Milan each April for a week’s worth of inspiration, shop talk and aperitivi. Even more so than fashion week, the fair consumes the city. Luckily, there were so many interesting presentations on view that braving the crowds felt well worth it.

I found out I had to reload the game after I imported the save file. Then I could load one of my past save files. Also I keep having error messages all through out the game but, could wait and they would clear and I could keep playing.

Available in both one-story and two-story layouts, these homes bring modern design elements into play by increasing the flow between rooms and incorporating numerous windows. Regarding cost, it's interesting to note that a two story house can be less expensive to build than a single story home.

The 4-bedroom house plan gives you enough space to have the option to expand the functionality of your home. As you might expect, a four-bedroom house plan is a home design that has four bedrooms. Still, many advocates pressed the state to reduce the number of lanes on the road to make room for alternative modes of transit — though the state has largely resisted the idea so far. I like to form this leg to approximately degrees in three passes depending on the length of the leg. This angle is important because if formed all the way to its finished angle of 90-degrees, access to the inside corner of bend #1 will be limited in the later passes. By keeping bend #2 open 10 to 20 degrees, one additional pass will have contact with bend #1. The final 10 to 20 degrees of forming would take place after the last pass that contacts bend #1. Our metalworking experts understand our client’s challenges, and we’re ready to provide solutions that are second to none through our metal bending services. Frampton has been busy touring, and he’s working on both a new album and a documentary. Peter Frampton has been a rock legend to fans and fellow musicians for decades, but now he’ll get his official designation in October. The British rock guitarist, who now calls Nashville, Tennessee home, learned this week, he’s being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “It’s supposed to be multimodal, and it seems very car centric,” she said in an interview.

Cons of Rolled Roofing

So in terms of quantity, a roofing roll is about the size of one composite shingle square. Square is a roofing term that refers to one roofing unit of 100 square feet. Multiple demanding industries rely on metal bending to support their operations. Some examples are Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Art, Architectural, Residential, Commercial, and more. Other types of metal bending are Rotary, Joggling, Wiping, Folding, and Rolling.

Roll Forming

A variety of track switching mechanisms are available to suit specific needs. Tru-Roll has been a full service manufacturer of stage rigging equipment, curtain track and draperies for over 70 years. The ease and beauty of Rolli rounds out a key missing gap in a design conscious, functional home. We offer free virtual consultations, free measuring, free fabric samples and install appointments.

METAL ROLLING AND FORMING CAPABILITIES

We’re confident that we can work on your project due to our expertise in diverse areas. Therefore, you can trust us to deliver outcomes that will improve your bottom line. Using steels with yield strengths of KSI with forming angles of around 90-degrees and a 1t – 5t inside bend radius, a “k” factor between 35-40% of the material thickness is most common. Higher yield materials between KSI (with a low elongation percentage), a factor between 40-55% may be necessary. For bend angles over 120-degrees and inside bend radius less than 1t, the “k” factor should be around 50%.

roll design

When calculating strip widths and designing rolls, the maximum thickness within the gage range is generally used. This is done to eliminate interference between the male and female rolls when the material is passing through. The use of restricted tolerance material will greatly improve part consistency but is rarely done, due to increased costs for raw materials.

Rolled MSR roofing is thinner, larger, cheaper, less durable, and horizontally installed in long strips. Besides being thicker, composite shingles or any type of shingle are far less prone to tearing or cracking because stress is distributed across a wide area of individually moving parts. We'll schedule an install appointment or provide you with everything to easy DIY.

Most sections require a straightening device after forming which removes unwanted twist, camber and bow. These straighteners are normally a “block” type (made from Aluminum bronze or nylon) but can also be done with rollers. The key to straightening is to have the device fairly close to the last pass (between the last two passes if pre-cut strips). The length of the block should be long enough to achieve approximately 1”-1-1/2” of working area (or land), while incorporating a good lead-in and exit radius or taper. The clearance around the profile should have about .015” per side and more at the strip edges. Avoid trying to fully contain the profile because if the device is adjusted it may also affect the geometry of the cross-section.

The following layout describes how to determine the theoretical radii for the bends. The radii that are calculated are considered a “reducing” or “constant length” type, which means that in every forming pass, the entire “arc length” (.4285”) is being used within the radius. This is why the earlier passes have larger radii, when not completely formed to the finished angle of 90 degrees. In many cases, I like to calculate all the passes using this method, to develop the progression and then sharpen the radii in the early passes slightly to help the section track properly. Paramount Roll & Forming offers superior metal fabrication services, specializing in various metal bending and rolling methods. We have been a trusted manufacturer for many years, allowing us to gain extensive background knowledge in the varying industries we serve.

After the flower has been completed, the designer needs to choose drive diameters and check for maximum flange roll sizes and possible interference with the rolling mill. “Step-up” or increasing the pitch diameters of the rolls from pass to pass is important to consider during the design phase. In many situations “overfeeding” or “buckling” between passes (particularly in the early stages) will occur. This problem is caused when the material (especially lighter gages) from a previous pass is driving faster than the next. The amounts of “forming torque” and “surface contact” on the rolls are the key factors as to why this problem exists. However, after the profile has ample column strength, step-up can be reduced or eliminated.

Four-bedroom plans are perfect for multi-generational families with individuals who need extra care and support but don't need 24-hour monitored care. 2) The layout provides flexibility so you can easily convert rooms into offices, guest suites, and other spaces as needed. However, recent trends show that homeowners are increasingly purchasing homes with at least four bedrooms.

While it’s referred to as a 4-bedroom house plan, not all of the rooms have to be used as bedrooms. They can serve a variety of different uses, including a home office, play area, media room, game room, or yoga studio and can change over time. Four bedroom house designs make ideal primary residences or vacation homes, where families and friends can gather and entertain. The lot size required for a 4 bedroom house plan depends on whether the layout is one story, two story, or even three story. Speaking of lot size, make sure that you know the "buildable area"within an overall property.

STYLES

Another scenario that may warrant a four-bedroom home is if your children are getting married and starting their own family. Either way, having four bedrooms allows each room to be an individual retreat that still feels connected with other rooms on the same floor. Full-sun yards have specific needs when it comes to plants, soil, and mulch. Also, leaf mulch helps retain the moisture that full-sun gardens need and restores nutrients as it breaks down. Common tools used in front yard renovations include shovels, hoes, rakes, wheelbarrows, hand pruners, and other basic landscape tools.

Combined with the fact that the existing shrubs were planted too close together, they called the team at Ask This Old House for help. Landscape contractor Jenn Nawada knew just what to do, arriving with a plan to reuse some plants, cut others back, and plant new sun-loving plants that would thrive in the front yard. Mature trees are wonderful, but they become safety hazards when they rot—a problem our homeowners face in their front yards. But after removing the trees, they realized their shade plantings were starting to burn in the intense sun.

This is where moving to a 4-bedroom house becomes more of a priority rather than a luxury. 4-bedroom house plans allow children to have their own space while creating room for guests, in-laws and elderly relatives. What’s more exciting is that the extra bedrooms don’t necessarily have to be sleeping quarters. You can convert the bedrooms into a home office, exercise room, yoga studio or a game room, depending on your needs and preferences.

How to Create a Low Maintenance Landscape

low maintenance landscape design

Meanwhile, a small horizontal trellis fence helps to block out noise from the bustling city streets. If you’re more into entertaining than you are into gardening, your yard should reflect that. This calming space features plush upholstered outdoor chairs staged around a large fire pit.

Add sensory appeal with a water feature

The landscaping here even serves to subtly accentuate these architectural details. The easy-to-care-for emerald arborvitae trees start broad at the bottom and narrow towards the top, mirroring the shape of the columns. This stately home has a classic colonial style thanks to elements like the brick facade and large slatted shutters. Because colonial architecture tends to be understated, landscaping does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to curb appeal. Colorful flowers like pink hibiscus and red phlox add whimsy to this otherwise staid home. With its sharp lines and multitudinous windows, this home is undeniably modern but the unique architecture and landscaping choices make it feel surprisingly inviting.

Plant An Unexpected Urban Garden

"When something's always blooming in the yard, there's a sense of added life." Black-eyed Susans are a good summer choice because they bloom throughout the season. For example, hens-and-chicks are tough plants that grow well in rocky, challenging spaces while just a few yuccas can fill a space with grand, spiky leaves. Ornamental trees such as Japanese maple offer splashes of color but won't require a ton of raking since they're typically small trees. "There's a size and variety that will appeal to everyone," says Cervoni. There are many ways to reduce maintenance chores so you can spend more time enjoying your garden and less time taking care of it. Despite the lack of a lawn, there’s still plenty of greenery to be found.

Plant more trees and shrubs.

These schemes don't require much space at all and can be achieved in even the tiniest front yards. Japanese plants also tend to require almost no pruning – less work for you. You could just have a Japanese acer in a pot outside your front door – they are container-tolerant for many years. Plant selection directly impacts the time and effort it takes to keep a great looking yard.

Lawn Alternatives

It’s important to surround your home with a beautiful landscape, but also to gauge how much care will be needed to maintain that area. If you have a section of your yard that has been bordered with landscape rocks, then it is wise to plant a wildflower garden. Slow-release plant food will supply the necessary nutrients for the entire summer to the plant, bush, or tree and no other maintenance will be required besides watering. They are a little more expensive than purchasing your own individual plants to arrange, but require very little attention besides occasional watering throughout the summer. There are many plants and bushes that you’ll find online or in your local gardening centers that require little to no care throughout the summer. Taking the steps to make the job of front yard lanscaping easier on yourself will allow you the time to just sit back and enjoy the garden, free from weeding and planting all summer long.

Adjust the timer to deliver water to the plants throughout the season. Often gardeners wait until a shrub or tree is overgrown before wielding their cutting tools. If you  prune proactively, you won't end up with a ton of work to tame your wayward plants. Prune non-flowering shrubs and evergreen trees and shrubs in late summer.

This is because each one will need your attention at a different time, whether that's for staking, deadheading, pruning, or disease and insect control. These days, there are lots of styles and materials to choose from, just take a look at our lawn edging ideas for starters. This one above, for example, is made from recycled tires and allows you to install it in either straight lines or curves.

So, pack every border and you will notice a big reduction in the time you need to spend on your hands and knees, pulling out that pesky chickweed. Weeding can be one of the most soul-destroying of garden tasks, but there are two key ways to keep them at bay. One is mulching – laying a thick layer of well-rotted manure, garden compost, leaf mould or composted bark around your plants.

By opting for a neutral color palette the space feels light and bright, whilst carefully considered foliage offers a burst of greenery to the scene. True, you'll need to clip the miniature hedges once in a while, but in a plot this size, it won't take long. If you're after some new outdoor seating ideas, then how's this for inspiration? We love how the hard landscaping offers function and structure, with the wall doubling up as a fuss-free bench.

For years, I had the impression that water irrigation systems were very pricey and took tons of time to install. I suggest placing 3 inches of mulch down over the garden plots that you would like to avoid weeding year-round. Then, every two to three years, remove the mulch and replace it with a fresh layer. You will still need to occasionally pull some weeds, but it’s definitely worth not having to deal with the fabric. Arrange visually interesting rocks in various sizes on top of the dry sand, and rake to create designs if you like.

These finicky plants require meticulous care that can be unexpectedly time-consuming. To get the look without all the excess effort, look for faux potted plants. Minimize maintenance even more by replacing grass with artificial turf. Decorative hardscaping elements like a black wrought iron fence, cedar trellis and rustic granite flagstone walkway give this yard a cozy cottage charm.

The Alexander Homes

A bevy of builders emerged to fill a new need for mass-market housing, spurred by the city's growing year-round population and an increasing demand for vacation homes. Chief among them was the George Alexander Construction Company, headed by the father-son team of George and Robert Alexander, successful builder/developers from Los Angeles. They arrived in 1955 with an able track record of single-family subdivisions in LA. and, more importantly, a keen interest in pioneering architecture. The rounded shapes of Kew were often followed in the 19th century.

Especially in English-speaking countries outside the British Isles, these are often called conservatories, in the UK mainly a term for small glass structures attached to houses.

The flame thrower palm tree is a single-stemmed palm with feather-like pinnate palm leaves, a bright green crown shaft, and clusters of small purple flowers, followed by bright red fruits. The unusual feature of this tropical palm tree is the newly emerged leaf that is red to maroon—hence the name “flame thrower” palm. The streets of Los Angeles—from Beverly Hills to the base of the San Gabriel—are famous for tall, slender palm trees, topped with rounded crowns of feather-like arching fronds. In addition to fan-shaped leaves growing on spiny petioles, the ornamental palm has short clusters of bright yellow flowers that ripen to brown fruits in the fall. Also called the seashore palm, this beach palm tree grows well in sandy soil and tolerates salty air from the Pacific Ocean. This shrubby palm has leaves that grow from an underground trunk straight out of the ground. Shiny, deep-green lance-shaped curling leaflets cover the long petioles. Bento Box A Buzzing 2024 Trend in UI UX Design: Learn When and How to Embrace It by Diganta Debnath

These compact, compartmentalized containers allowed for a variety of foods to be carried conveniently and elegantly. But in the design world, Bento Box is a design trend that greatly impacts how we design user interfaces. The Bento box design style, observed on websites like Apple, Bolt, and Chronicle, is inspired by the traditional Japanese bento box used for single-portion meals. While browsing through good web designs recently on Twitter or via web design galleries, I noticed a trend of using content blocks in variable size and design to form an interesting bento box style design. Even if you local stores don't carry 'genuine' Japanese bento boxes, it's always possible to find alternatives for lunch boxes, dividers, picks and other accessories. As I wrote in one of the earliest articles on this site, it's not necessary to buy a box that is labeled as a Bento Box in order to bring bento lunches.

Adopting bento box designs means you can organize content in a way that is both functional and visually interesting. I’m truly baffled by the price tags on some of the other options out there. Sistema also makes other sturdy, perfectly-sized containers in various shapes and sizes, most of which are also priced in single digits.

Explore the art of crafting websites where each section isn’t just distinct but contributes seamlessly to a cohesive whole. Then there’s another camp that thinks Microsoft might have been the trailblazer here. When they unveiled Windows Phone 7 with its Metro design language, it was a game-changer. Made in Framer: Bento Box Design Style

I like how it can be configured to have the text content on the top or below the image. However some might also argue that the true origin could be coming from Microsoft when they introduced the Metro design language system when they unveiled Windows Phone 7. Be it who was the true inspirer, it definitely sparked many designers around the world to create bento box style design. One of the most famous bento box website designs out there, Apple's store breaks up key content into bitesize chunks.

Web design trend: bento box

Bento UI might sound complicated, but it’s actually a very straightforward way of structuring a design. It’s simple and efficient; consequently, it’s popular with both designers and users. The term Bento Box originates in Japan, where it refers to a meal divided into its constituent parts and packed into a box. But in the design world, Bento Box is a design trend that is having a huge impact on how we design user interfaces. Some say it began with the metro design language used by Windows 8 back in 2012, others give Apple the credit as they use bento UI throughout their video presentations and website. Whichever came first, the appetite for bento box design is going nowhere.

Unfortunately, most of the online stores that sell them are in Japanese only, and do not ship overseas. High-end Sawtelle sushi destination Tsujita has relatively affordable jewelry box chirashi boxes topped with uni, ikura, and fresh fish for around $45 each. Chef Shinichi Miyagi worked his way through some of Southern California’s top sushi restaurants before opening this well-placed Brentwood restaurant offering a variety of sushi meals to-go. The $120 bento is the way to go for those willing to splurge (minimum two order, with two days advance notice), but the meal comes with oysters, grilled lobster, blue crab hand rolls, and monkfish liver. Pack perfectly portioned lunches with these Japanese-style containers. What’s more, core technologies on the web have evolved to make Bento UI easier to produce.

Despite the ambiguity surrounding its origins, the increasing popularity of Bento UI acts as a validation for its emergence as a dynamic and evolving design style. The shift from a mere food container to a design style is quite fascinating. While many credit Apple as a pioneer in this realm, the origins of the Bento box design style can be traced back to an earlier player — Microsoft’s Nokia Lumia device, which debuted in 2013. It's a curated collection showcasing the best bento grid layouts on the web.

PackIt's reusable bento box collection offers a combination of style, functionality and sustainability. They're not only eco-friendly, reducing the need for single-use containers, but also incredibly easy to clean, often just a top-rack dishwasher cycle away from being ready for their next use. The versatility extends beyond food; use them to organize craft supplies, jewelry and more. With fewer containers required, they help minimize clutter in your kitchen cupboards. Enjoy these benefits when you embrace a cleaner, greener and more organized lifestyle today with PackIt's reusable bento boxes, and take a step towards a more sustainable future—one meal at a time. Deciding between a disposable or reusable bento box isn't just about convenience; it also involves considering how each type of bento box fits into your lifestyle and impacts the environment.

From special offers to latest news, the user can find the information that's relevant to them quickly and easily. Bento box web design ultimately takes inspiration from the food world, using small, rectangular layouts to highlight key pieces of information. Generous rounded corners are also a requirement for emulating the bento box look. The simplicity of the design means it can work brilliantly on mobile devices, and is a good strategy for breaking up stats and numbers or otherwise dense information.

Lloyd Wright, son of the master, designed downtown's 1923 Oasis Hotel, a slip-form concrete monument to early California Modernism. “I’ve always been a fan of Shag’s art,” says McBurney, an e-commerce executive for supermarket chain Kroger who has been coming to Palm Springs for more than 20 years. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he lives in the desert full-time and hopes to open his home for fundraising and charity events. While the hotel opened in the 1920s, after the Great Depression and WWII, it had been decades since El Mirador was used as a hotel (it had even been converted to a military hospital). Since the property was considered "army surplus," its investors had a $5 million budget and Williams's 1953 design instantly became a local landmark.

Due to its versatility, the dwarf sugar palm tree has many uses in a southwestern garden landscape. For example, you can use the fern-like palm plant as a specimen plant, hedge plant, evergreen privacy screen, or in a container garden. As one of the most versatile palm trees, the Mediterranean palm tolerates extreme heat, cold, and drought and thrives in full sun in USDA zones 9 to 11. The Canary Island date palm is also an ideal container palm tree to grow in compact southern gardens. Despite its popularity in California, the Mexican fan palm is non-native and is considered invasive in some areas. Southern California's alluring desert and an enticing village called Palm Springs captivated an impressive list of talented architects by the 1920s.

With its distinctly exotic look, the beautiful date palm tree thrives in coastal regions in USDA zones 9 to 11. Date palms grow 50 to 80 ft. (15 – 24 m) tall with a huge crown 20 to 40 ft. The Church will lease part of its sprawling parking lot to Related Cos. Of New York in the deal, with the proceeds going to build a new school. I’m real estate reporter Kimberly Miller with the latest developments in the sizzling market. The number of veterans who are without permanent housing was down this year compared to past counts, officials said. Among the steps the region has taken to help veterans who are homeless in recent years is a 60-bed site at the VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach.

If you are visiting Beverly Hills and aren’t able to take photos in the morning, the third location on our list is a fantastic spot to take pictures. We visited this location on a Sunday afternoon and saw a handful of others taking photos here as well. Not quite the answer we were looking for since we didn’t have the luxury of time to drive around Beverly Hills all day. What we needed were the exact cross streets to type into our GPS. Then, a tail-finned postwar America began gathering under the invigorating desert sun.

Another identifying feature of the king palm is its smooth lime-green crown shaft. Additionally, the tall California fan palm has a moderate growth rate, averaging about 1.5 ft. (0.5 m) per year. However, the native palm typically grows slower in residential landscapes, making it an ideal landscaping palm tree for medium to large-sized gardens.

An unusual feature of the beach palm is the flowers that look like yellow corn-cobs on a long stick. The multi-branching palm grows more as a shrub than a palm tree. It’s a drought-tolerant, heat-loving shrub-like palm that grows in inland Southern California landscapes, coastal regions, and beach gardens. The small jelly palm tree grows 12 to 15 ft. (3.6 – 4.5 m) tall. In smaller species, the tips of the arching leaves almost touch the ground, covering the pineapple-like stem.

The Bismarck palm is one of the most stunning ornamental palm trees for a California garden landscape. This short palm is identified by its huge fan-shaped fronds, bluish-green or steely-blue color, and single stout trunk. This easy-to-care-for decorative tree adds bold color and texture to any landscape in warm climates. The Mexican fan palm grows up to 40 to 80 ft. (12 – 24 m) tall with a small rounded crown 8 to 10 ft. (2.4 – 3 m) wide. Like the native California fan palm, dead fronds on the Mexican palm form a dense skirt at the top of the trunk.

Being that this street is in a residential area, we tried our best to take pictures quickly and quietly so that we wouldn’t disturb anyone. We love how the sunrise was giving these palm trees a gorgeous golden glow. Have you seen those beautiful palm tree-lined streets in Los Angeles and ever wondered where the heck people took those photos?

The plantings simulate this multi-layered habitat, with canopy palms and other trees, climbers and epiphytes down to the shorter understorey plants and dwarf palms. No one had ever built a glasshouse on this scale before and to do so the architects borrowed techniques from the ship building industry which may explain why the Palm House looks like the upturned hull of a ship. Today the Palm House is one of Kew’s most recognisable buildings having gained iconic status as the world’s most important surviving Victorian glass and iron structure. New dining venues are the Far Side of the World Asian fusion sushi bar and Mexican Cutie Cantina, where passengers can customize their own tacos and breakfast burritos. Island Eats is a seafood shack inside the adult-only Tiki Bar -- also a new concept -- overlooking the back of the ship. Also located in the Tiki Bar is the tropical-inspired Tiki Grill with dishes such as fire-grilled fillet skewers and pina colada creme brulee. Located on the upper floor of Fins Dining Room is the new Islander Dining Room serving chef-crafted seasonal specialties in addition to the main restaurant menu. And it wouldn't be a Margaritaville cruise ship without plenty of drinking options.

Working out during vacation may not be for everyone, but for those cruisers who pride themselves on their fitness, there is a completely refreshed fitness center onboard to enjoy. Of course, it wouldn't be a tropical getaway without some live poolside music, which guests can enjoy while lounging on the lido deck. Dueling pianos is such a fun and interactive form of live music entertainment. Currently, Margaritaville at Sea also conducts karaoke sessions with the ship’s activity team here. Setting sail in spring 2022, the Margaritaville Paradise will feature 10 passenger decks and 659 cabins with various stateroom categories. The ship’s casual-luxe cabins and common spaces will allow guests to drift away to paradise with subtle nautical details and colors influenced by the surrounding seas, sands, and skies.

How much does it cost to go on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise?

For those who love to dance, Margaritaville at Sea has added a brand new venue at the very top of the ship for adult guests. The newest adult-only venue is called the Hemisphere Nightclub and can be found on Deck 14. While the standard piano bar wasn't a new addition, the refurbishment of Margaritaville at Sea's Paradise brought the brand-new venue called "Keys On The Water Dueling Piano Bar," which can be found on Deck 9.

Guide to Margaritaville At Sea

After sailing onboard the Paradise the first time, I was intrigued to see how Margaritaville At Sea had improved since 2022. It was our honor to be hosted onboard by Margaritaville at Sea, and while we were invited onboard, all of these opinions are genuinely my own. On my first cruise, I was only able to dine at the buffet for breakfast, so I was curious to see what the Port of Indecision Buffet offered for dinner. Something I noticed had improved onboard this sailing was the addition of more onboard activities. This quick cruise is unique in the cruise line industry, as it's rare to find a 2-night sailing on any cruise line.

Night Key West & Cozumel

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line's flagship ship, the Grand Classica, will also serve as the new cruise brand's first ship. Margaritaville at Sea is currently giving a cruise ship they recently purchased a huge makeover. This includes a complete remodel of all 1,105 cabins on Margaritaville at Sea Islander. Meet the swimming pigs of The Bahamas, spend the day swimming with dolphins, or work on your tan as you sip a tropical cocktail. Includes your choice of Margaritaville at Sea souvenir cup plus unlimited refills of fountain sodas for the duration of your cruise.

Set your morning to a sparkling start with a fresh, luxurious breakfast from JWB Prime Steakhouse for the ultimate beginning to a fantastic day in paradise. Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weekend getaways, and every special occasion. Additionally, guests can enjoy a complimentary burger bar at the Cheeseburger In Paradise Burger Bar on Deck 10. This is a great option for an afternoon snack or lunch while on your cruise. The refreshed nightclub features a brand-new cocktail menu, as well as bottle service and live DJ.

Island Time

One of my favorite features of the Oceanview Stateroom was the awesome porthole window, which was a lovely place to watch the sunrise from my cabin. I enjoyed the seating area near the window, too, as it made the stateroom feel quite spacious. Margaritaville at Sea unveiled an array of entertainment offerings onboard its newest ship, the Islander, embarking on its maiden voyage from Port Tampa Bay in June, according to a company statement.

Cruise.Blog had the opportunity to see exactly what changes and improvements had been made to Margaritaville at Sea’s Paradise since its original debut in 2022. For my sailing, I was gifted a Wi-Fi Package, package for 10 drinks, and onboard credit, which I used to eat at the specialty restaurant onboard, JWB Prime Steakhouse. With visual accents that inspire adventure, the ship’s inviting atmosphere will be filled with music, lights, island-inspired sculptures, artwork, scents of the tropics, and more. Lovers of non-stop entertainment will enjoy the Par-A-Dice Casino, Stars on the Water Theater, and various nightclubs while wellness-enthusiasts can stop by the St. Somewhere Spa or Fins Up! With pools, a retail store, and so much more, there is something for everyone. The first ship, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, will be based out of the Port of Palm Beach with two-night/three-day cruises to Grand Bahama Island.

Margaritaville partnered with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line — which rebranded to Margaritaville at Sea — for the new cruise brand, according to a press release. Oneil Khosa, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line CEO's, will remain as Margaritaville at Sea's CEO. Your stateroom aboard Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is your private retreat – every room is designed with a laid-back luxury vibe.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and dining options onboard Margaritaville at Sea’s Paradise my second time onboard. The Main Dining Room featured a new menu with island-inspired signature dishes, a new selection of cocktails and wines, and scratch-made desserts. (Many passengers here receive a meal here in the popular License to Chill package that comes with 10 drinks, an onboard wine tasting and other perks).

Just as when Margaritaville at Sea first made its debut, Paradise still sails its original 2-night itinerary from the Port of West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island and back. Margaritaville at Sea Islander's 1,105 cabins offer a range of four categories -- interior, oceanview, balcony and suite -- and 11 subcategories, including four types of balcony staterooms and three types of suites. Cabins range in size from 175 square feet for the insides to the 365-square-foot top-of-the-line Signature Grand Suite.

Once you're in the Bahamas, shore excursions are extra and you will have to pay to take transportation from the terminal in Freeport to any attractions, as there is nothing within walking distance. Which is good, because only 10 rooms on the entire ship come with a balcony. Even junior suites only have portholes; you have to book a Grand Terrace Suite if you want outdoor real estate. Another area where the ship seems dated is in its utilities; the renovation did not add the number of American outlets and USB ports that always-wired travelers want these days. With 12 specialty and included dining options, sampling your way around the Margaritaville at Sea Islander is a delicious escape from the ordinary.

Lovers of non-stop entertainment can enjoy the Margaritaville Casino, Stars on the Water Theater, and various nightclubs while wellness-enthusiasts can stop by the St. Somewhere Spa & Salon or Fins Up! With pools, a retail store, and so much more, there’s something for everyone. In addition to the Tiki Bar, other new bars and lounges include the central lounge in the Flip Flop Atrium serving signature cocktails. Ocean-inspired cocktails will be on the menu in the aquarium-themed Coral Reef Lounge and hand-crafted drinks will be served in the intimate Hemisphere Dancer Craft Spirits Bar. The Margaritaville at Sea Islander is the newest and flagship resort at sea perfectly designed to transport cruisers on fun-soaked escapes to an island state of mind. Sailing Summer 2024 from Port Tampa Bay to Key West and Mexico on 4- and 5-night cruise itineraries.

I highly recommend either planning out your day ahead of time or booking an excursion once onboard. Margaritaville at Sea’s Paradise ship docks in an area of the island that is not close to many attractions or beaches. For this reason, guests will need some form of transportation to best explore the island once they arrive. Powered by Echelon Fitness, the new fitness center features some of the most advanced fitness experiences, including a Reflect Touch Fitness Mirror for yoga. Those staying in suites will be able to enjoy connected mirrors from the comfort of their stateroom. For my recent sailing in March 2024, I was honored to be hosted onboard with Margaritaville at Sea.

This was a great addition and kept this large venue filled with guests enjoying their evening. The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is your off-shore resort experience, sailing from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island. On this floating island vacation, you can unwind, enjoy the endless activities and entertainment, or just relax and soak up the sun.
